Many issues influence a decision to vote on a candidate in an election. On Nov. 2, Garrett Mason of the Lisbon area is running against Sen. John Nutting for the District 17 Senate seat.

Sen. Nutting has been serving the public for many years and yet the debt in Maine continues to grow; education departments face more cutbacks every year; and unemployment rates continue to rise.

It’s time to vote out the old and vote in someone new. Maine needs a young person with a great work ethic.

That is Garrett Mason.

Mason’s life experience has made a great foundation to be serving the people. His family values and faith are strong and very important to him. He attempts to address everyone’s concerns in his decisions and places great emphasis on ethics and morals.

He has integrity people can count on.

I will be voting for Garrett Mason.
