MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Middlebury limited the Bates offense to 149 yards of total offense and six first downs in a 22-9 NESCAC football victory Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats (1-4) got all of their points in the second quarter as a direct result of two interceptions. Senior Gavin Segall-Abrams kicked a 27-yard field goal after junior Brett McAllister picked off quarterback Donald McKillop and ran it back 29 yards.

Junior defensive end Tyler Kuehl intercepted McKillop two possessions later, and ran it into the end zone for his second career pick-six. A missed kick on the point-after left the score at 10-9.

David Reed caught 10 passes for 86 yards to lead the Panthers (2-3) receiving corps, which had seven players make four catches or more.
