While I consider her a good friend, I will not be voting for Stacy Dostie on Nov. 2. In her first term, she voted to raise taxes on all Mainers, which voters had to veto this past June.
Dostie voted to cut school funding twice in two years, to the tune of more than $100 million, which puts a higher tax burden on small towns to fund schools.
The list of Dostie’s wrong votes goes on and on. She claims to want to be a leader in Augusta, but with a 100 percent party-line voting record, she has shown herself to be only a follower.
If this is how she will represent us in the future, why not leave a standing “me, too” vote for her party and stay home.
I am voting for Steve Wood, a veteran and a real leader for the towns.
Glenn Chateauvert, Greene
