How well is Sen. John Nutting representing his district?
Nutting voted to remove charitable and mortgage interest deductions as well as require that sales tax be paid on labor for auto repairs and 101 other services. Fortunately Mainers repealed that with the vote being 72 percent for repeal in District 17.
Nutting voted against allowing Mainers to buy cheaper health insurance from out of state. Is it a senator’s job to limit choices available to constituents?
Nutting voted against welfare reform, which included a residency requirement. Maine is hemorrhaging money from outsiders coming here to milk the generous welfare. Maine can’t afford to support lay-abouts from away.
After nine terms of Nutting in the Legislature, it’s time for a new approach.
