LEWISTON — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Ramada Inn. A social half-hour will be followed by lunch at noon. After the speaker, there will be a business meeting with reading of the minutes and old and new business discussion, followed by a report from the Legislative Committee members on recent news, information and updates on NARFE concerns, both federal and statewide.
The guest speaker will be an FEP Customer Service Representative from Blue Cross/Blue Shield discussing changes in coverage this year and assisting with questions regarding open season for the federal health insurance program.
Members are asked to bring canned goods or nonperishable foods to be donated to St. Martin de Porres Residence for Thanksgiving.
Plans for the meeting were conducted at a board meeting attended by Richard St. Amand, Doris Hamel, Roland Metayer, Claire Breton and Martha Robinson.
