NORWAY — Lloyd H. Billings, 66, of Norway died Saturday, Oct. 23, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 8, 1944, the son of Donald and Audrey Crocker Billings. He attended school in West Paris and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard.
He married Brenda Kennagh on Aug. 31, 1968. He worked in the woods with his family starting at a young age. Before retiring in 2008, he worked at New England Public Warehouse as a forklift driver for 13 years. Prior to that he was employed by Wilner Wood Products and Paris Manufacturing.
He was always an honest and loyal employee. He was a member of the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary, where his main responsibility was keeping the coffee going during fire calls — a job he took quite seriously but always had a good time working with other members of the auxiliary.
His family meant the world to him and most recently, he enjoyed spending time with everyone at his camp on Mirror Pond in Oxford. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and always loved the outdoors and wildlife.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; three children, daughter, Tammy and her husband, Kelly; sons, Steve and Joey and his wife, Tina and her three children; daughter-in-law, Cara Billings; five grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters.
Online condolences may be shared with his family at www.chandlerfunerals.com.
