AUBURN — The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA has announced open registration for the second session of the 2010-2011 swim lesson program, which will run from Nov. 1 through Dec. 23.
The YMCA will offer the following 30-minute swim lesson classes for children 6 months to age 5: Parent and Tot, 6 months to 3 years; Water Babies, 18 to 36 months; Tiny Tot Classes, 2 to 5 years, including beginner and advanced classes; Parent and Pike, 2 to 5 years; Pike, 2 to 5 years; Ray, 3 to 5 years; Starfish, 3 to 5 years.

Also available are Youth Progressive Lessons, a National YMCA Swim Lesson Program designed to improve children’s swimming skills, teach new skills, work on endurance and stroke techniques, as well as survival skills.
Polliwog, Guppy, Minnow and Fish are 45-minute classes for children ages 6 to 12. Shark swim class introduces competitive swimming to the highly skilled swimmer 10 to 18 years of age.
