RUMFORD— The Police Department responded to 78 complaints between 6 p.m. Oct. 17 and 6 p.m. Oct. 24. Basic traffic stops are not included in those complaints.

Arrests/summonses:

Oct. 19 at 1:51 p.m. — Billie J. Lawton, 38, of Rumford, charged with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on Waldo Street. Lawton is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 7.

Oct. 19 at 6:59 p.m. — Raymond Martin, 20, of Rumford, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for a theft, by Patrolman Donald Miller on Knox Street. Martin posted $150 cash bail and was released.

Oct. 23 at 12:45 a.m. —Danny Thurston, 40, of Rumford,  charged with leaving the scene of a property damage crash, by Sgt. James Bernard on Franklin St.. Thurston is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 7.

Oct. 23 at 2 a.m. — Matthew Dyke, 33, of Peru, charged with operating under the influence, by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on Penobscot Street. Dyke posted $400 cash bail is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 4.

Oct. 23 at 9:33 p.m. — Janet Mercier, 44, of Rumford, charged with operating under the influence, by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on Roxbury Road. Mercier is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 4.

Oct. 23 at 10:14 p.m. — Michael Litalian, 21, of Mexico, charged with operating without a license, by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on Main Street. Litalian posted $400 cash bail is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 4.

Wanted

Tristin Dayon, 29 , of Rumford/Mexico area is wanted on a Rumford District  Court warrant for unpaid fines on an operating after suspension charge. The warrant is dated Sept. 22.
