FARMINGTON — Arline M. Potter, 104, a lifelong resident of Strong, died Monday, Oct. 25, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 11, 1906, in Strong, a daughter of the late Fred H. and Hattie B. (Hunter) McCleary. On Sept. 9, 1928, she married Willard Curtis, the first of two wonderful husbands, who predeceased her in 1961. In 1965, she married Delma Potter, who died in 1985.

After graduating from Strong High School in 1923, and Farmington Normal School, Arline was a school teacher and also owned a florist shop. She was a member of the Oppalunski Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Strong United Methodist Church, Strong Historical Society and the Strong Senior Citizens.

Arline is survived by two nieces, Kathleen Kurosman and her husband, Nusret, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and Elizabeth McCleary of Dorchester, Mass.; a nephew, David A. McCleary and his wife, Ann, of Fairbanks; two grandnieces, Beldan Radcliffe and her husband, David and Kimberly McCleary; a grandnephew, Cem Kurosman and his wife, Jenni.

In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by two brothers, F. Arthur McCleary and Harold McCleary; and a sister, Christine Richardson.
