As a former selectman and current Budget Committee member from Paris, I support Bob Kirchherr for Oxford County commissioner.

Many citizens have worked diligently to maintain Paris’ budget with no increases, despite the fact that Paris’ portion of the Oxford County budget has increased 3.5 percent each year for the past three years.

Within the past year or so, the Oxford County commissioners had a legal battle with the operator of the Oxford County Regional Airport. The commissioners failed to hold up their end of a contract and eventually lost about $600,000 in legal fees, damages and rent.

We in Paris work hard to be fiscally responsible. I have not seen this demonstrated on the county level.

Bob Kirchherr will be a responsible, thoughtful and level-headed alternative to the status quo.
