Does party affiliation matter? Is there a difference?
Consider who are the “people” (remember, according to the U.S. Supreme Court, corporations such as Exxon and Bank of America are now “people”) who pay to support candidates.
Republican supporters tend to be wealthy and corporate. Democrat supporters tend to be what once was middle class. Unfortunately, the middle class has now slipped close to poverty. The difference between the wealthy and others is now greater than at any time in history.
Democrats tend to be concerned about health care, education and protecting small business, while Republicans worry about the welfare of large corporations.
The tea party seems intent on turning America into a Third World country.
Ann Woloson is a Democrat running for the Senate. Tom Saviello is a Republican at this time. He was a Democrat about nine years ago, then independent. Does it matter?
