RUMFORD — Charles Hoff has earned the designation of Certified Information Systems Security Professional, the premier professional certification for information security experts. Developed and administered by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium Inc., the CISSP designation provides information security professionals with a globally recognized standard of achievement.

Hoff is operations manager of U.S. Earth stations for Verizon. Previously responsible for field dispatch and technical operations across Maine and New Hampshire, his background includes five years of military telecommunications experience and a variety of technical and management positions with MCI and Verizon.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration (management) from the University of Maine at Augusta. He also holds an associate of science degree in data processing and a general class amateur radio license.
