As a lifelong and many-generations Democrat, I believe Libby Mitchell should bow out now and support Eliot Cutler. His zero-based budgeting plan could sway Republicans; Mitchell can’t.

If either Mitchell or Cutler cares, he/she could help the other defeat Paul LePage. If not, LePage will win.
