LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library Director Elaine Smith has announced several activities happening at the library, located at 56 Main St.

A preschool story time, with a craft and snack, takes place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. So far, children have read about leaves changing, apple picking and scarecrows.

The next crafters showcase will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, with Tina Decker doing a scrapbook page. All are welcome to come learn something new or get help with a project. Refreshments will be served and a door prize will be given away at each session.

“Our first crafters showcase went well with Fran Goodine coming in to show her knitted items, her book of patterns and to help with knitting projects,” said Smith. A door prize of a kit to knit two Christmas stockings was awarded.

The Book Lover’s Cafe will meet at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month, starting Nov. 8. Smith said participants won’t all read the same book. They will share opinions on books they have recently read, without giving away the ending. Refreshments will be served.

The library has established a Calendar of Events at the library for people to take home and put on their refrigerators so they won’t miss out, Smith said.
