LISBON — Lisbon Adult and Community Education will offer Maine Guide School on the following days: Thursday, Dec. 9, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 11, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 12, 9 a.m. to noon. Attendance is required at all sessions.

Master Maine Guides Carroll and Lila Ware will work to prepare students in the course to confidently enter the state’s testing process for licensing Maine Guides.

In addition to preparing for the guide’s exam, students will also gain knowledge on a variety of subjects from map reading, navigation, boating, hunting, species identification and countless other topics.

Using written materials from the state, as well as information developed over 23 years of instruction, students will be ready for the hunting, fishing and/or recreation license classification test.

The fee is $400 each person and a $200 deposit is due at time of registration. Balance is due on or before the first meeting. Deadline for registration is Nov. 15.

To register, visit the adult education office at 19 Gartley St. to register with cash or check or visit lisbon.maineadulted.org and register electronically with a debit card, credit card or PayPal account. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
