Coffeehouse

LIVERMORE FALLS — The Library Media Center at Livermore Falls High School will sponsor the annual Coffeehouse Night from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, in the cafeteria. The evening of poetry readings and music, performed by students and faculty members of the high school, is open to the public.

Forest restoration

FARMINGTON — The Upper Kennebec Valley Chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine will host a presentation by Jonathan Carter, director of the Forest Ecology Network and two time gubernatorial candidate, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the University of Maine Farmington, Thomas Auditorium, Ricker Hall on High Street.

Carter will focus on the overall carbon potential of Maine forests and how a dollar spent on forest restoration is much more effective as a way to reduce atmospheric carbon than any other approach. Benefit tea

WILTON — Members of the Wiltona Club will host a benefit tea at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Congregational Church, Main Street, Wilton.

There will be finger foods and beverages. The public is welcome. A $5 donation will benefit Alzheimer’s and Multiple Sclerosis organizations. Piano music will be provided by Bev Eames. For more information, call 645-4856 or 645-4823.
