AUBURN — Outright Lewiston-Auburn will sponsor “You are Not Alone,” a community rally in response to the recent string of highly publicized youth suicides, at noon Saturday, Nov. 6.

In addition to celebrating the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youth, and mourning the hundreds each year who chose to end their own lives, the event will raise awareness about the bullying and exclusion that devastate the lives of so many GLBTQ young people, and show GLBTQ youth in Maine that there are resources and supportive community allies available to them.

The rally will take place in the parking lot of First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St., Lewiston.
