LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free workshop for families dealing with cancer. Family Game Night will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at 12 High St., conference room A.

When cancer strikes a family, everyone is affected and one of the greatest challenges can be effective collaboration. The workshop invites families to learn and play together.

Jeremy Brown, LMSW-CC, will discuss how non-electronic, cooperative games can offer communication and problem solving skills. Engage in activities that can be shared by family members of all ages with various levels of physical mobility.

The workshop is part of the Dempsey Center’s Healing Tree Children’s Program. Preregistration is available by calling the Dempsey Center at 795-8250, toll-free at 877-336-7287 or online at www.dempseycenter.org.
