VENICE, Fla. — Frank A. Talpey, 91, of Venice, Fla., formerly Englewood, Fla., and Auburn, passed away on the morning of Oct. 28, at Venice Regional Hospital.
He was born March 15, 1919, in Moose River. Mr. Talpey retired to Florida after serving as deputy chief of the Auburn Fire Department, where he had also worked for Sears-Roebuck Co. for many years. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II, as a chief quartermaster.
He leaves his loving wife, Cecilia (Bartley) Talpey of Venice; three sons, James R. of Ft. Myers, Fla., Edward R. of Auburn and David R. of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
