FARMINGTON — Sylvia Davis Jones, 83, of Temple, died Saturday, Oct. 30, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center, with family at her side.

She was born May 6, 1927, in Winthrop, a daughter of Stephen and Phyllis Virginia (Burr) Belden Sr.

On March 29, 1947, she married Kenneth Roland Jones Sr. in Winthrop.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth R. Jones Sr. of Temple; four sons, Kenneth R. Jones Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Temple, Lawrence R. “Lonny” Jones and his wife, Starr, of Weld and Winterhaven, Fla., Douglas E. Jones and his wife, Shery, of Farmington and Leon F. Jones and his wife, Janet, of West Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Josephine B. Buzzell of Tennessee, and Ethel B. Maxim and her husband, George, of Winthrop; one brother, Walter Belden and his wife, Crystal, of Winthrop; grandson, Lawrence “Lonny” Jones Jr.; stepgrandson, Warren E. Dyke; grandchildren, Amy Vaterlaus, Melissa Plourde, Bethany Cormier and Jerry Jones; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Gerald Carl Jones; a grandson, Jacob Jones; her twin brother, Stephen Belden Jr.; and sisters, Gertrude B. Fish and Francis B. Grant.
