SOUTH PARIS — Western Maine University and Community College Center has announced a Veterans Resource Fair to be held collaboratively with the University College at South Paris and the University of Maine at Augusta. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3.
During that time, active military personnel, veterans and their family members are welcome to visit the center to explore local college options. Attendees may tour the Mobile Vet Center and meet the center staff as well as Veterans Services staff. Current faculty and students may also be available to answer questions.
UMA Veterans Services staff present will be Amy Line, UMA project coordinator of Military Achievement Project, Navy veteran, UMA alumna and adjunct faculty member, whose husband currently serves in the United States Navy.
Representatives from other organizations serving veterans in the local community will also attend. The fair will be held at the WMUCC, 232 Main St. For more information call 743-9322.
