NEW GLOUCESTER — Marion Meyer, 86, of New Gloucester, peacefully passed away on Nov. 1.

Marion was married to Joseph Meyer for the past 62 years. She was raised in Cheektowaga, N.Y., and attended Sacred Heart Academy. Marion worked as an insurance underwriter and bookkeeper for the Ruh Agency.

Marion played baseball and her love of the sport was seen in her support of the Beverly Hills Mini League. She was also active in the Girl Scouts as a leader. In later years, Marion and her husband were avid amateur radio operators. Marion truly enjoyed her work with the daily radio net and passing radio messages.

Marion is survived by her husband, Joseph of New Gloucester; two children, son, Robert and his wife, Debra, of Auburn Hills, Mich., and granddaughters, Jennifer and Karen; daughter, Kathleen and husband, Thomas Shedlarski, of Gray and grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Darcy and great-granddaughter, Ava, Jason and his wife, Sarah, Erin and her husband, Todd and great-grandchildren, Alana and Mitchell; and grandson, Kevin.
