AUBURN — The winner in the race for Androscoggin County Register of Probate was too close to call at press time.

With only two of the county’s 14 municipalities reporting — Minot and Lewiston — incumbent Democrat Joshua Klein-Golden was in the lead with 6,537 votes.

His challenger, Republican Wendy Sanborn, had 5,670 votes. Sanborn is chairwoman of the Poland Board of Selectmen.
