MONMOUTH — Monmouth Community Players is excited to announce its upcoming auditions for Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore’s hillarious sex farce “Infidelities!” Van Zandt and Milmore are well known playwrights, co-authoring many other comedies including “Love, Sex, and the I.R.S.” and “Till Death Do Us Part.”
This show is one that will keep the audience rolling in the aisles as it takes you through the life and undoing of Harold Stang, the male lead, who is a playwright obsessed with sex, Charlie Chaplin and pastrami sandwiches. The show is based on his meeting the object of his desires, Kelly Carroll, an aspiring actress. Throughout the production we will view their love story through a series of flashbacks, fantasy scenes and monologues performed by five actors who cover the span of 36 roles.
The show consists of nine actors, five male and four female. Auditions will be held in the historic Cumston Hall in Monmouth at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7 and Monday, Nov. 8 in the library located on the lower level.
