LEWISTON — Yoshiwo M. Baiei, 65, died Monday, Oct. 25, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 21, 1945, in Korror Palau to Ngiralenglang and Irror Baiei. He married Mary Baiei on Sept. 18, 1968 and together they raised Shellah, Sharon, Shelemiah, Shemachiah and Melvin.

Yoshi enjoyed woodworking, gardening and caring for his family. Most importantly he was a member of the Auburn Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 27 years and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 42 years. He was devoted to volunteering much of his time and energy to sharing the Bible and its positive message in his community right up to the time of his death.

He firmly believed in the Bible’s promise that God’s Kingdom through His Son Jesus Christ would bring lasting solutions to mankind’s problems and looking forward to the time the Earth will be transformed into a paradise and a resurrection of our dead loved ones back to life here on Earth.

He will be greatly missed by his loving and supportive wife, Mary; his beloved children; daughter and son-in-law, Shellah and Ken Jordan; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Chris Roberts; daughter, Shelemiah; son and daughter-in-law, Shemachiah and Gerilynne Baiei; son, Melvin; and several sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and extended family.

As a husband, father, brother and friend, he has deeply touched our lives and will be greatly missed.
