LEWISTON — Every Monday in November, at 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., the theme will be Maine agriculture as state Sen. Margaret Craven and state Rep. Dick Wagner host “Answers from Augusta” on Great Falls TV local access Channel 11.
Guests for the month’s program are Maine Commissioner of Agriculture Seth Bradstreet, a potato farmer from southern Penobscot County, and Kirsten Walter, director of the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, which includes the Lots to Gardens Program that she founded in Lewiston.
Wagner said the topics this month will include local agricultural programs, the farmers markets in Lewiston, eating healthy, locally grown food, state support for agricultural cooperatives such as MOO milk, the new grain cooperative in the Auburn area and the department’s administration of the returnable bottle bill.
