NORWAY — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19 of Stoneham, met Oct. 27 at the home of Marilyn Jones. There were 11 members present.

Initiation was held for four new members: June Whetzel, April Berry, Kim Hansen and Deanna Merchant.

First nomination of officers for the upcoming year were: president, Marilyn Jones; senior vice president, Elaine Lagueux; junior vice president, Dayle Burnell; secretary, Dorothy Morency; patriotic instructor, Wanda Ryerson; chaplain, Brenda Woods; treasurers, Mary Jones and Kim Hansen; guide, Deanna Merchant; guard, Loretta Andrews; color bearers, April Berry, June Whetzel, Lynn C. Pike and Marge Nihan; council members, Leslie Dean, Dayle Burnell and Elaine Lagueux; press correspondent, Marilyn Jones.

Second nominations and installation will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the same location.

June Whetzel read an article about a wounded man, for Good of the Order. A letter of resignation from Gail Butterfield was read, which was regretfully accepted.

The mystery prize was won by Deana Merchant.
