FALMOUTH — The Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is planning its 22nd annual awareness and fundraising walks in Maine. Ten walks throughout the state will take place in late April. Volunteers are needed to join planning committees to help coordinate all aspects of the events.

Volunteer committees will meet to plan and organize the walks beginning in the fall. They make sure there will be plenty of food and drink, the route is safe and the event is exciting and memorable for the walkers.

Walk MS will take place in Androscoggin County, Augusta, Brewer-Bangor, Brunswick, Caribou, Camden, Ellsworth, greater Portland area, York County and Waterville.

For more information on joining a planning committee or for information on any of the walks, contact Bethany Porter at [email protected] or 781-7960.
