FARMINGTON — Ten members of the Gold LEAF Senior College had a cooking class on Oct. 25 with The Simple Gourmet.

Stan Wheeler, host of the Mt. Blue Community Access TV show The Simple Gourmet, gave a hands-on cooking class featuring several easy-to-do, yet elegant appetizers.

Class members helped with the preparation of sea scallops wrapped in prosciutto, shrimp and pineapple wrapped in prosciutto, goat cheese and mushroom canapes and mango and carrot spring rolls. Class members sampled the finished products.

The class was taped by JP Fortier, Mt. Blue TV station director, and it will be shown as an episode of The Simple Gourmet. Past episodes may be viewed at www.mtbluetv.org.
