NORWAY — Edward F. Rice, 68, of Norway died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Berlin, N.H., June 22, 1942, the son of Guy E. and Edith Munt Rice. He attended school in Bethel and had been employed at L.E. Davis Lumber Co. in the saw mill.
He later worked as a flagger for Star Security. He married Peggy Buker on Oct. 16, 1982. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed NASCAR, model cars and listening to the Red Sox on the radio.
He is survived by his wife of Norway; son, Edward O. Rice and his wife, Dana, of Woodstock; daughter, Tammra Rice and her husband, Roger Waterhouse, of Bryant Pond; son, Justin Buker and his wife, Erin Greene, of Norway; stepson, Scott Alan Buker and his wife, Rose, of West Paris; eight grandchildren, Sonya, Alac, Makayla, Matthew, Tiffany, Taiah, Jacob and Kara; two brothers, Clayton Rice and Bernie Rice; a sister, Charlene Kimball; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Tina; and a grandson, Michael.
