The show tells the story of a young man, “Pippin” (Duncan Gelder), the son of a king in search of the meaning of life.

The story begins with a traveling troupe of performers led by “The Leading Players,” (Michael Weber and Jordan Richmond), who invite the audience to witness the tale with the opening song ”Magic To Do.” When they meet Prince Pippin, the leading players and their troupe decide to help him along in his quest by showing him what his life could be.

He tries to follow in the footsteps of his father, King Charles (Nate Fairchild), but discovers that he’s not like his warlike father or brother (Cameron Gelder). His stepmother, Fastrada (Ashley DeBlois), tries to manipulate Pippin into betraying his father, which he does, only to realize that he does not want to be King.

Next, he seeks out his grandmother, Berthe (Nika Faulkner) who explains that he should “take a little from the world we’re given.”

He is tempted by some beautiful women (Mary Wooten, Keira Wooten, Paige Weber and Emily Schario) but sees his future love, Catherine (Sadie Bonang), and breaks away from the temptresses.

He falls along the way where Catherine stumbles upon him and takes him in. He stays to help her with her estate and with her son Theo (Keegan Kane), falls for Catherine, but decides that it is still not enough: Life should be more. The Leading Players then lure him further into the spectacular finale. But is Pippin ready for it?
