MEXICO — Funeral services for the Rev. Ronald J. Ashworth of Peru were conducted 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, at his former church, the Mexico Congregational Church (The Green Church), Mexico, with the Rev. John Gensel officiating and assisted by the Rev. Linda Kimball.

Organist/pianist was Cindy Bohren. Music selections included “Amazing Grace,” “In the Bulb, There is a Flower,” “Be Still My Soul” and recessional “Beyond the Sunset.” Special music “In Jesus’ Name, We Press On,” by Kelsey Arsenault. and “Gods Eye Is on the Sparrow,” by the church choir.

Scripture readings were given by granddaughter, Kirsten Shealy and daughter, Heidi Arsenault. “The Letter” was read by his daughter Sherry. Eulogies were given by Roland Arsenault, Jacob Arsenault, Karen Miller and Bonnie Ashworth. Words of Remembrance were given by members of the clergy and friends.

Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Kristopher Miller, Kayla Miller, David Spencer, Kirsten Shealy, Jacob Arsenault, Kelsey Arsenault, Casey Timmerman and Lee Timmerman.

A reception followed the services in the church annex.

Interment will be at the Farrington-Morton Cemetery, Mexico, at a later date.
