Grange meeting

DANVILLE — Members of the Danville Junction Grange 65 will observe “Scrambled Officers Night” when they meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11. A Thanksgiving program will be presented.

Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome.

Veterans Day

AUBURN — The American Legion Post 31, 426 Washington St., will open at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11. There will be a meal at noon with music and entertainment by Paul Farrels’ musical group.

All area veterans are invited to attend. For a meal reservation, call the Post at 783-6992 or Commander Phil at 740-7837. The cost of the meal will be a donation of $5.

Baha’i celebration

AUBURN — The Baha’is of Auburn, hand in hand with other Baha’is worldwide, will celebrate the birth of their religion’s founder at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at 9 Amberely Way. This is a Baha’i holy day when work is suspended and Baha’i communities in hundreds of U.S. localities will hold public commemorative events.

Cribbage play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 5 were: first, Bob Oliver and Bill Mickalide; tied for second, Shirley Labonte and Bob LeClair with Sandy Verrill and Bob Cielinski; thrid, Roger Briggs and Ron Hynes; fourth, Lorraine Fillion and Gary David; fifth, Edith Chambers and Arnie Burgess.

The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. There will be no game Thursday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day.
