LEWISTON —  L/A Arts invites the public to the opening reception for “Whiteout,” to be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12 in the gallery, located in downtown Lewiston at 49 Lisbon St. The exhibit will run from Nov. 12, through Dec. 18. This opening event is free and light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is a celebration of the upcoming winter season in Maine, and images displayed reflect images or feelings associated with the winter, including its bleakness, darkness, light and snow. Works range from realistic to abstract, in a variety of mediums. Curator Jeanelle Demers comments that “the exhibit offers some incredible artwork, no matter what your feelings about winter are.”
