PHILLIPS —  Ruby E. Wilcox , 79, of Phillips, died on Nov. 9, at the Sandy River Center for Health and Care in Farmington.

She was born June 25, 1931, in Dallas Plantation, the daughter of Everett and Evelyn Bachelder Wilcox. She was educated in the schools of Avon. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley. She spent many hours babysitting children in her family. She loved to cook and made the best sponge cake around. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, Bingo, and playing cards. Her favorite time was family gatherings and being around people.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sandy River for the wonderful care that she was given throughout her stay there.

She is survived by one brother; Richard (Bill) Wilcox of Phillips; one sister; Winona Wilcox of Farmington; two nieces and four nephews.
