Group meeting

SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a meeting of the Oxford County USDA Local Working Group from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Oxford County University of Maine Cooperative Extension Office, 9 Olson Road.

Local Working Groups assist the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in matters relating to the implementation and technical aspects of conservation programs under Title II of the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 .

The meeting is open to the public, but requires an RSVP. Call District Office Manager Jane Heikkinen at 743-5789, ext. 101.

Community potluck

WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold a community potluck supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18.  The Community House is located in Waterford Flat on Plummer Hill Road behind the village green next door to the church.

The hosts for the supper will be Joann Fillebrown and Caren and James Long. All are welcome and those attending should bring a dish to share.

Chicken pie

WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church on Main Street will be host its annual chicken pie supper at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. Tickets will go on sale at 4:30 p.m. The price is $8.00, $3 for ages 11 and under.

The menu will include chicken pie, squash, mashed potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce and dessert pies. There will also be crafts for sale.
