Association meeting

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Arts and Crafts Association will have its last meeting of the year Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Student Center in the North Dining Hall, Room A.

New members are welcome to join and bring in a sample of crafts for showing from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Table spaces are also available for the craft fair on Dec. 4.

Kid’s Night Out

FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington softball team will host a Kid’s Night Out event for children ages 5 to 12 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Dearborn Gymnasium.

Activities for the event will include gym activities, arts and crafts and a movie room. The fee is $5 each child. Snacks will be provided. For more information, contact Cyndi Pratt at [email protected] or 778-7140.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the UMF softball team.

Book, craft sale

STRONG — A book, bake and craft sale will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday Nov. 19, at the Forster Memorial Building.

There will be a quilt raffle at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Strong Public Library.

Fish chowder lunch

FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will hold a fish chowder luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. The lunch will include chowder, biscuit, pickles, cheese, dessert and coffee or tea.
