AUBURN — Roberta Holt Lavertu Green, 84, of Norway died Thursday, Nov. 11, at Clover Health Care Center.
She was born in Mechanic Falls, Jan. 30, 1926, the daughter of Ralph and Gladys Holt. She attended Mechanic Falls schools and graduated from Mechanic Falls High School, Class of 1944. In 1944, she moved to Lewiston and married Joseph Lavertu in 1945, he died in 1995. Roberta worked mostly in woolen mills, 5 years at Arrow-Hart and retired after 5 years at Ramada Inn. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and cooking. She married Robert E. Green on Nov. 15, 1996. He died Sept. 16, 2005.
Survivors include her son, Robert Lavertu and his wife, Cynthia, of Oxford; three grandsons and their families, Joseph Lavertu and his partner, Margaret, of El Mirage, Ariz., and son Devan, John Lavertu and his wife, Pamela, of Otisfield and their children, Celina and Chelsey, and James Lavertu and his partner, Crystal, of Mechanic Falls and children, Noah and Brendin; two sisters, Mary Ainaire of Lewiston and Vera Morse of Lisbon; three stepsons; one stepdaughter; eight stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
Roberta was predeceased by her brother, Fred Holt; and a sister, Ruth Caron.
