FARMINGTON — Registration is now open for UMF SnowCats, University of Maine at Farmington’s after-school learn to ski program. The program is held at Titcomb Mountain and is open to children in kindergarten through third grade.

UMF student instructors welcome children with all abilities and will work with groups of about six kids on technique, slope safety and enjoying the sport.

The registration deadline is Dec. 17, with the program beginning Jan. 18, 2011. It will run from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, for five weeks.
