TURNER — Arthur E. Thurlow, 69, of Turner, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, of Pick’s disease, with his loving family by his side.

He was the son of Arthur E. and Bernice Ray Thurlow. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Michele, who was his best friend and caregiver for the past 12 years.

He graduated from Pennel Institute of Gray in 1969. He joined the Marine Corps and served four years. He drove a tractor-trailer for 25 years with Union Camp and was a million-mile safe driver, retiring in 1998, due to his illness.

He loved camping out with his wood stove, enjoyed the Red Sox and racing in his younger years.

He leaves a son, Jeff, and Tanya; stepsons, Don Couture and Ron and Brooke Couture; daughters, Brenda Thurlow, Phyllis and Roland Cote and Jo-Dee and Dan Allen; he had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Carroll and Bertha Thurlow, Luke and Deb Thurlow; and sisters, Betty and Carl Pierce and Janice Ashe.

He was predeceased by Robert and Walter Thurlow; and a grandson, Steve Berwick.
