LEWISTON — Lorraine R. Belanger, 80, formerly of Old Greene Road, Lewiston, died Saturday, Nov. 13, at d’Youville Pavilion, after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 9, 1930, the daughter of the late John and Matilda (Lafrance) Turcotte.

On June 21, 1952, she married Edgar Belanger, who died Dec. 18, 2008. She was employed for many years, both at Sam’s Bakery and Country Kitchen Thrift Store, prior to her retirement. She was a member of Lewiston Senior Citizens and Holy Family Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Belanger of Orono and Donna Belanger of Auburn; one son, Roland Belanger of Turner; one sister, Sister Rene Turcotte of Lewiston; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Florence Morin, Therese Dumont and Laurette Buteau; and by two brothers, Gerard and Roger Turcotte.
