Because of ongoing illnesses and a recent trip to the hospital, I feel qualified to write about what I feel is wrong with the health care system. It’s lack of personal attention and too much paperwork.
Every time I needed a pill, I had to be scanned, like a cereal box. While waiting for a procedure, I could hear the doctors and other staff talking about what forms they needed to fill out.
Yap, yap.
They were not paying any attention to their patient, lying there on the stretcher.
Once home, the home help care came to my rescue, but they all had multitudes of forms for me to sign, all leaving behind folders with “important” papers for me to read.
They need to get real. When a person is sick, who gives a damn about vital information? It’s taxpayers’ money going to waste. I have all those papers stored together until one day I will simply fill my trash can with all that valuable information that I supposedly needed to know.
