Rebekahs to meet

AUBURN — Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 of Auburn will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, to prepare to do the Rebekah Degree on one candidate at 6:30 p.m. in the activities room at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane.

The lodge will be assisted by members of Nina Rebekah Lodge 86 of Lisbon. During the business meeting that will follow, as one of its community outreach projects, a collection of food or cash for Good Shepherd Food-Bank will be taken.

Suicide conference

LEWISTON — The National Survivors of Suicide Day Education Conference will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice’s Lewiston office, 15 Strawberry Ave.

The goal of National Survivors of Suicide Day is to connect survivors with others who have experienced the tragedy, and to provide support, healing and information.

Film screening

LEWISTON — Adults and teens are welcome to attend a film presentation entitled, “Our People” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday Nov. 20, at Jesus Party headquarters, 291 Bates St.

The film tells the story of William and Catherine Booth’s dedication to taking God’s love to the poor through the organization of the Salvation Army in which they founded in 1865 in London’s East End.

Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken to support the 2010 Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Refreshments will be served. For more information call 786-5568.
