SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Marketing/DECA students are preparing for the 36th annual DECA Holiday Craft Fair at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, and will feature 157 area crafters.
Students in the Marketing Program at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School work every year to make the craft fair a festive and fun occasion. At this year’s fair there will be some new services for customers, including a coat room. Customers will be able to leave their coats and items for $1 each, freeing up hands to look at the crafts. New food items have been added to the menu, and expanded parking at the Gouin complex with a free shuttle bus to and from the parking lot will be available.
There will also be free babysitting, performances by the Oxford Hills Chamber Choir, more than 100 door prizes which will be given out throughout the day, lunch, a large sitting area to eat, a Hannaford bag to carry purchases, a directory including a map of the fair, coupons from restaurants and crafters and a listing of crafters and their products.
Valhalla, the school store at the high school run by the marketing students, will also be open during the fair.
The seniors in charge of the craft fair this year are Kersten Curtis, Chelsea Gould, Abbey Begley, Kayla Turner and Mikenzi Merrill. Together, the girls have put their team work, communication and marketing skills to the test to plan the craft fair.
Admission is $1; free for those 65 and older and 12 and under. All proceeds will go to DECA activities. For more information, go to www.decacraftfair.weebly.com.
