Americans recognize the value of an education in order for young people to attain their dreams and to compete in our technological world. Educators, pre-K through age 16, strive to ensure each student receives a quality education in a safe and respectful environment.
School personnel desire parents, guardians and community leaders to communicate with each other regarding the importance of an education and attending school.
A supportive community helps to provide the foundation for each child to reach his or her potential and become a contributing member of society.
During American Education Week, Nov. 15-19, I encourage people to send e-mail messages or write notes to educators expressing appreciation for their efforts in preparing children to be lifelong learners.
