LEWISTON — Marion Eaton, 90, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 13, at Montello Heights, where she had made her home for the past couple of years.

She was born Aug. 26, 1920, in New Gloucester, a daughter of Horace and Junie (James) Williams. After graduating from Edward Little in 1937, she entered the medical field, eventually becoming a lab technician working at Central Maine General Hospital, now known as Central Maine Medical Center, for more than 20 years.

She lived the last 22 years in Buckfield, and prior to that lived in and around the L/A area. She married Donald Eaton in February 1980. He passed away in 1990.

Marion was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Parish of Norway in her younger years. She was a member of The Literary Club of Buckfield, The Robin Dow Senior Citizens Club of Auburn and was one of the famous “Rosie the Riveters” who worked at the Portland Shipyard during World War ll.

She loved traveling, poetry and singing, but her most enjoyable and precious times were moments spent with her family. She had a great zest for life and lived an active and full one.

She is survived by her companion of the past 12 years, Berkley Hobart of Lewiston; two sons, Raymond Beaulieu and his wife, Margaret, of Arizona, and Charles James Swift and his companion, Nancy Spencer, of Buckfield; one daughter, Kathleen Cyr and her husband, Armand, of Lewiston; a sister, Alice May Saucier; a brother, Charles Williams; seven grandchildren, Denise Beaulieu, Debbie Brown, Shawn Galgovitch, Dana deGuzman, Amie Marcedia and Katie Swift and Justin Spencer; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald; and seven brothers and sisters.
