LEWISTON — Noel R. Poulin, 80, of 119 Wellman St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Nov. 14,  at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Born in Portland on Dec. 21, 1929, he was the son of Raymond and Adrienne Gagne Poulin. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of  1948. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951, and served until 1955. In 1958, he married the former Lorraine Sturtevant. He was employed for many years as a supervisor by Bates Manufacturing, retiring in 1990. A member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, he had formerly been a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Parish, where he served as a lector for several years. He was an honorary life member and past exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He enjoyed time spent with family, long days at the beach listening to the Red Sox on the radio, and his daily cribbage game with friends.

Besides his loving wife of 52 years, he is survived by three sons; Marc and wife, Theresa, of Lowell, Mass., Keith and wife, Kristen, of Byfield, Mass., and Jack of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Judy and husband, Timothy Donnelly, of Cumberland; a sister, Ramona Verreault of Auburn; five grandsons, Andrew Poulin, Ian and Keegan Donnelly, and Will and Sam Poulin; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Frances Hamilton.
