She Doesn’t Like Guthries, at 115 Middle St., Lewiston, will host live jazz by Three Point Trio, at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18.  This is a monthly event taking place on the third Thursday. There is no cover and for more information call 376-3344.

On Friday, Nov. 19,  The Lomax will return to Guthries.  “The Lomax have named themselves after the legendary John and Alan Lomax, who brought many of us what we know about Southern traditional American music, you can quickly guess what they might sound like: a little bit cowboy, a bit folksy, a tad bluesy.” (Portland Phoenix). The band members include Andrew Ellis (vocals and acoustic guitar), Dave Ragsdale (vocals, electric guitar, banjo, harmonica), Brian Patrick (electric guitar and vocals), Chris White (bass), and Dave Fields (drums).
