WEST PARIS — Charlie Heino, author of the recently published book, “Cobblestones to Hot Top,” will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Finnish-American Heritage Society. The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at the Finnish-American Heritage Center, 8 Maple St.

Heino, of Finnish and Polish decent, was born in Rockland, where he spent his childhood. He was educated at the University of Maine at Orono and worked in many communities throughout Maine as a teacher, principal and superintendent. Following his retirement he served several terms as a State Representative. Heino will have his memoir available for purchase and signing.

A brief business meeting will be held prior to the program and a coffee social will close out the day. The public is welcome to attend.
