The Maine Renegades squirt hockey team finished with a 3-0 record this past weekend.
In the opener, Renegades defeated the Maine Gladiators B team, 2-1.
Ryan Blouin led the way with a goal and an assist. Reed Hopkins scored the winning goal in the third period with a little over three minutes remaining. Other assists went to Owen and Evan Cox.
The second game was a 3-2, come-from-behind victory over the Lady Wizards, who put up a great fight.
Casey Cloutier’s late third-period goal with just over a minute remaining gave the Renegades the victory. Hopkins got the first goal of the game part way through the second period. The Wizards scored the next two to pull ahead. Blouin evened the score a few minutes later. Other assists in the game went to Hunter Dupuis, Evan Cox, Hopkins and Reese Farrell.
On Sunday evening, the Renegades capped the weekend with a 5-3 victory over the Maine Hurricanes.
Blouin led the way with a hat trick. Hopkins had the other two goals. Assists went to Evan Cox (two), Hopkins, and Andrew Verrault.
Dalton Bowie and Jacob Smith shared the goaltending duties.
